Thomas Pink ties the iPod knot

Thomas Pink has created a handy piece of clothing for commuters who want to combine funky fashion with sensible practicality.

The Commuter Tie is a bright pink silk tie with a built in pocket in the back, expertly constructed to hold the iPod nano.

The tie has an extra loop to keep headphones from being tangled and a brace at the back, which prevents the little machine from slipping out.

Commuters can hence relax on their way to work, safe in the knowledge that their iPod nano is neatly hidden from potential muggers or suspicious bosses.

The tie comes hot on the heels of the Commuter shirt that had a hidden breast pocket to hold the full size iPod and a cuff pocket to house a London Transport Oyster card.

The Commuter tie retails at £49 and is an ideal gift for the functional commuter hoping to stand out among the crowds.
