Five GB iPod poised for release?
Apple could be set to introduce a five GB capacity iPod mini to the UK consumer market, reports suggest today.
And according to Engadget, AppleInsider has indicated that the new larger memory iPod mini could be released as early as next week.
Whilst the one GB extra storage capacity is hardly a ground-breaking innovation, the move will bring Apple up to speed with rival company's MP3 players, many of which already offer consumers five GB of memory.
The Creative Zen Micro, the iRiver H10, and the Motorola M500, among others, all currently exceed the iPod's capacity.
The extra gigabyte will allow for approximately an extra 250 songs.
